Edo, Ondo APC guber aspirants to pay N22.5M, says party

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed May 20 to June 10 as dates for purchase of expression of interest forms for aspirants whp want to contest for upcoming governorship election in Edo state.

The party also announced that aspirants from Ondo state would take their turn from June 11 to July 1.

The APC in a release on its Edo and Ondo states governorship elections activities, by its National Organizing Secretary, Emma Ibediro, says all governorship aspirants in Edo and Ondo State will pay N22.5 as expression of interest and purchase of form fees

The party in the timetable released in Abuja on Wednesday, said it would begin the primaries with the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms to the governorship aspirants.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had in February, fixed the governorship election in Edo for Sept. 19, while that of Ondo State was fixed for October 10

“There shall be no separate charge for the deputy. “Female aspirants and physically challenged aspirants will pay 50 per cent of the prescribed fees for each position,” Ibediro said, noting that the party’s Edo governorship primary will hold on June 22, while that of Ondo State is to hold on July 20.
