The Federal Government has announced the appointment of acting new Vice Chancellors (VC) for University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
A terse statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by Ben Bem Goong, director, press and public relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, said the appointment of Professor Stephen Agochi Okodudu as UNIPORT’s VC is for a period of six months.
The statement said President Muhammadu Buhari has also approved the appointment of Prof. Emmanuel Adigio as the new Vice Chancellor of Maritime University Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State.
“The President and Commander-in-Chief of the armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhar, has approved the appointment of Prof. Emmanuel Munakurogha Adigio as the new Vice Chancellor of Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko.
“The appointment takes effect from 11th June, 2020.”
“In a related development, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Professor Stephen Agochi Okodudu as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt for a period of six months.
“The acting appointment is with effect from 13th July 2020. Education Minister, Adamu Adamu has congratulated them,” the statement said.
