From Maduabuchi Nmeribeh, Kano
The management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has assured its customers improved power supply, following the repair of the Shiroro-Mando line by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
The AUTHORITY reports that the Shiroro-Mando line, which supplies electricity to residents of Kano and beyond had been in a bad shape lately, but has been fixed by TCN.
According to a Statement signed by KEDCO’s Head of Corporate Communication, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, “as a result of this good development, power evacuation from the grid surged from the usual slightly below 150MW to daily average of 200MW, and this improvement will continue as the grid generation improves as well.
“We also appreciate our numerous customers for their understanding while pleading for more commitment in the area of paying outstanding and current bills as this will give KEDCO the needed morale to continue to secure better services to the satisfaction of everyone in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States.”
