By Chuks Oyema-Aziken

Environment and Niger-Delta activist, Comrade (Chief) Mulade Sheriff has congratulated Colonel Milland Dixon Dikio on his recent appointment as Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

Mulade, who is also a traditional Chief from the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdomin Warri South West LGA of Delta State, said the appointment will build on the existing peace initiated by President Muhammadu Buhari to sustain and stabilize the economy of the Region.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, Chief Mulade said much is expected from Dikio as over thirty thousand beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme need post-amnesty integration to harness the long term benefits of the programme.

“The Peace Ambassador charged Niger Deltans, Ijaw people in particular, to support Dikio who is also an illustrious Ijaw son from the oil and gas producing Niger Delta Region. He urged the Administrator to bring his wealth of knowledge and experiences as a successful businessman and security expert to bear on his prestigious and enviable position so that he could reposition the Amnesty Programme within the time frame of his mandate.

“He described Colonel Milland Dikio as an outstanding son of Ijaw nation from Mbiama Community in Engenni Kingdom, Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.”
