The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, on behalf of the Management and Board of Directors of the company, has appreciated the role of journalists to national development.
Dr. Gwamna, in a Statement signed by KEDCO’s Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Ibrahim Sani Shawai, felicitated with journalists across the globe on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day.
He particularly hailed Nigerian journalists for making huge impact on national development in the country.
According to Dr. Gwamna, KEDCO has not been left over on the impact of media as they have been the dependable partner on KEDCO’s journey so far.
“This is why we are also seizing the moment to salute all the men and women of the pen profession on this great day.
“In this regard, KEDCO wish all media outfits a happy World Press Freedom Day as well as hope that media outfits will continue to partner with KEDCO for improved quality service delivery to its numerous customers across Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States,” the Statement stated.
