Four police men were reportedly killed as unknown gun men razed down Iwollo police station,in Ezeagu local government area of Enugu state, in the early hours of today,Tuesday, May 25.
The Enugu state Police is yet to comment on the incident but it was gathered the gun men stormed the station in a Siena car and a bus,set the station on fire after killing about four police men on duty,and thereafter shot sporadically on air,to pave way for their escape. An eyewitness stated, “The men shot sporadically and we couldn’t even sleep, as the gunshot persists, we started seeing heavy smokes. The attackers were there for more than 45 minutes if not one hour". Iwollo Oghe police station was commissioned in 2016 and was built by the members of the community.
