The Leaders Without Borders Development Centre (LWBDC) has called on young CEOs, entrepreneurs and Small business owners to participate in the forthcoming Global Business Summit for wider coverage of their business.
Dr. Hillary Emoh, Founder and President, LWBDC, made the call while appointing the Vice president of the body in preparation for the global Business Summit on Thursday in Abuja.
LWBDC is a community based organisation focused on improving leadership skills, entrepreneur skills while creating an environment for trade and investment opportunity.
Emoh appointed Chairman, Domak Group of Companies, Dr Kingsley Azonobi as the Vice President of LWBDC to help in moving the vision to the promise land.
Emoh however noted that the global business summit is scheduled to hold on September 29 and 30, 2021 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai.
He said that the summit was basically to create connections for business men, women and for people to come together and connect with other business owners across the globe.
According to him, “We all know there is a problem in terms of cross border business because people have problems with doing business with people in other countries.
“For instance, in the United States of America, (USA), people have problems in doing business with people in Nigeria because of course there is always negative news about Nigeria on various social media.
“Leaders without borders, founded in 2012 therefore has created this platform for young CEOs which will then focus on leadership training. Also to help CEOs, young entrepreneurs, Small business owners, to create a platform for them to do their business.
“This is where they can connect with others on a platform to help their business boom. We also offer leadership training, skill acquisition training, entrepreneurship training and we also organise international business summits.
“So what we do thereafter is to do a background check on your business in Nigeria and to know that the business is genuine. Which means you would have not been found wanting in any bad or shady stuff and no issues with the law, before we create a platform for you to meet people.
“So our summit was created majorly to connect people across the globe, investors looking for investment.”
Emoh said that the international business body however has over 500 CEOs under its watch which it uses in training other upcoming CEOs.
He added that the group basically was created to help young business owners to build their business from the scratch and help become better in entrepreneurship.
“We are inviting CEOs, business owners, small business owners, entrepreneurs and we are giving them the opportunity to be at the forum where there would be other business owners from all over the world where they can connect and also promote their business,” he added
The Chairman, Domak Group of Companies, Dr Kingsley Azonobi appreciated the LWBDC for his appointment and pledged to be supportive in all areas needed.
Azonobi said that Nigeria is looking for great leaders like the President, LWBDC, role models, and youth that can truly show the path for leadership.
“Having followed your programs, events, how you organise and how you have been able to make this organisation worthy of emulation for years tells you are not made for just Nigeria alone.
“One thing I do not joke with, is people with wealth. I mean wealth in character, capacity, Wealth in ability to change narrative and I saw that you have that.
“And that is the point I made up my mind to be part of this great organisation. And of course the vision is not just starting as it also continues.
“And I want to accept this appointment and responsibility with every sense of responsibility and with more vigour of what I had in mind before,” he said.
