The senator representing Anambra Central senatorial zone in the red chamber of the National Assembly Iyom Uche Ekwunife has described the PDP governoship candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo as a product of providence.
Sen. Ekwunife stated this on Sunday during the inauguration of Ozigbo Campaign Council in Awka.
She noted that all the aspirants who took part in the PDP governoship primary were very serious about winning but that it God himself who chose Ozigbo as the candidate.
Sen Ekwunife urged the members of PDP governoship campaign council to be steadfast and committed to project of winning the November 6 election.
“Every member of the campaign council should be dedicated to the project, all of us should be ready to demonstrate high level ingenuity and creativity in the handling of the PDP campaign.
“The conduct of the members of the campaign committee must be geared towards attracting millions of Anambra electorate to vote for Mr Ozigbo during the guber polls.
“We must all work assiduously individually and collectively to reach other members of party who are still aggrieved after the party primary.” She said.
Sen. Uche Ekwunife at the occasion announced Dr Alex Obiogbolu as the Director General (DG) of the campaign council.
The DG of the campaign council, Dr Alex Obiogbolu, the convener of Oganiru Anambra in his comment appreciated the PDP candidate, Mr Ozigbo and the entire party faithful for confidence reposed in him and his committee.
He expressed the commitment of his directorate to put in their very best to ensure victory for Mr Ozigbo.
Dr Obiogbolu declared emphatically that PDP is the leading political party in Anambra in particular and in Nigeria in general.
The PDP candidate, Ozigbo appreciated Sen. Ekwunife and Dr Ifedi Okwena who contested the for ticket with him other stakeholders for accepting to champion his campaign efforts.
He appealed to the aggrieved persons who have left PDP after the primary to have a rethink and return to where they truly belong so as to form a united front to prosecute the election.
Dr Ifedi Okwena, an aspirant for the PDP ticket, members of the House of Representatives, Anambra State House of Assembly who are members of PDP, members of State Working Committee and other chieftains attended the inauguration.
