A support group for the victory of Senator Andy Uba as the governor of Anambra State come November 6, 2012, has been inaugurated in Aba; the commercial nerve center of the Eastern Nigeria, located in Abia State.
The group; Andy Uba Governorship Movement, is aimed at ensuring through rigorous campaign that Senator Andy Uba, who has attracted and successfully executed so many developmental projects in Anambra State is voted in to pilot and drive the needed development deserving of the State.
Inaugurating the team whose job is to canvass and educate prospective voters why Senator Andy Uba is the man who the cap fits, the Abia State Co-ordinator, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, explained that the emergence of Senator Uba on Novemeber 6 as the Governor of Anambra State will not only enhance the development of Anambra State but will trickle down to other Southeast States.
Furthermore, Chief Ikoh appealed to all Anambra citizens in Anambra, Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi,& Lagos states to come out en mass and avail themselves the opportunity to vote Senator Uba into office as the Governor of Anambra State, adding that the Senator will not disappoint the good people of State and Ndi-Igbo at large, as his love for the development of the State is his driving force.
While he explained that Senator Andy Uba has over the years in the political sphere, acquired the knowledge and wisdom, technical know-how and the sagacity needed to govern and bring the much needed development Ndi-Anambra yearns for, he particularly urged Anamberians in Abia, especially those residing in Aba to queue behind Uba because he is poised to make Anambra greater.
