The cause of the fire that gutted a portion of the Federal Secretariat on Wednesday is still unknown, sources said.
Two persons sustained injury, while about 20 cars were destroyed.
Men of the Federal Fire Service and the Federal Capital Territory FCT Fire Service mobilized to the scene suçcessfully stopped the fire from spreading to other areas in the complex.
Newsmen gathered that it took the fire service 30 minutes to arrive the federal secretariat after the incident happened
Some civil servants in the complex said they jumped from the second floor where the fire started and injured themselves.
The complex is located in the three-arm zone of the nation’s capital, and houses major federal ministries, departments and agencies.
