Strong Man of Anambra politics and former Commissioner for information, Culture, and Tourism in the state Chief Bar, Sir Joemartins Uzodike stated that former Governor Peter Obi is on ballot in the Nov 6th gubernatorial election in the state.
Speaking to our reporters after a two hour political programme on Odenigbo FM Obosi last Saturday, Chief Uzodike maintained that for Peter Obi to stand tall in his quest to become President of Nigeria, his state must be behind him and this could only materialise by his party PDP winning the election on Nov 6th.
Chief Uzodike said” you can only be a top contender if your party controls your state and your zone. Presently in south east, PDP control 2 states, APC 2 states, APGA 1. Since APGA still remains a one state party in the region, the battle will be on PDP and APC.”
Chief Uzodike said that Senate Minority leader Sen Abaribe campaign tour of the state last week for Valentine Ozigbo, PDP candidate for November 6,was in furtherance of South East demand for Igbo presidency.
According to Uzodike “that’s why PDP is fielding an urbane, Young, humble and Articulate board room player Valantine Ozigbo as candidate of the party to the confirmation and jubilation of young and old Anambrarians.
Chief Uzodike state that Building of an Airport is good and commendable but no state or nation starts development with Airport rather Roads, water, health and human resources the prime keys to development. ” what Anambra needs today is a Governor whose eyes are on ground not Mr big man “
