Fani-Kayode, who defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in September, was said to be under investigation for alleged forgery and manipulation of documents.
Though details of the allegations against him remain sketchy, but the EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed his arrest by operatives of the anti graft agency.
“I think something like that happened,” Uwujaren said when contacted for confirmation.
