Nigeria Senate President, Ahmed Lawan has given insights on why the ECOWAS lawmakers must work towards ensuring the tenets of establishing the regional body which is regional integration is uphold .
According to him regional integration would promote commerce, trade, investment, collective economic growth and the wellbeing of the region.
Lawan said this while declaring the 2021 Second Ordinary Session of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) parliament in Abuja, Nigeria.
He said ,”Regional integration is for instance, core to us all and has demanded attention, because of its importance to our commerce, trade, investment, collective economic growth and wellbeing of our people.”
