Global Peace Movement International, UK has commended Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State for his developmental strides and his fatherly role in ensuring peace in Ebonyi and the entire south east region.
President General of the group, Dr Mike Uyi said security is a collective responsibility, adding that security architecture that is delinked with the people cannot identify criminal elements among the people.
Uyi said GPMI commends Governor Umahi for his courage, assertiveness, vision and granite commitment and determination to take Ebonyi State to the next level.
“Gov. Umahi, known for his transformation of Ebonyi state from a rustic, austere state to mega city state, boasting of world-class infrastructure has done well and has written his name in the annals of history in Nigerian and in the international community”.
“We thank Give Umahi for the role he is paying in ensuring that the whole of the south east remains peaceful. We want to warn those perpetrating violence in one way or the other to in their interest stop and join hands with Gov. Umahi to ensure that peace is retired to the whole of the region”.
“Ebonyi under Gov. Umahi is an el dorado of the South East region and a reference point to good governance in the entire country. We call on all the governors and other stakeholders in the south east to join this iroko of democracy to develop the entire south east”.
