The Onitsha Archdiocese of the Catholic Church has dissociated herself from the activities of Rev Fr Magnus Ebere(SDV)
The disclaimer was contained in a press statement signed by the Archbishop of Onitsha Diocese, Most Rev Valerian Okeke.
Archbishop Okeke pointed out that Rev Fr Ebere is a priest of a religious congregation called Society of Divine Vocations (SDV) and that he is not a priest of the Archdiocese of Onitsha.
“He has no faculty or right to operate within the Archdiocese, granting of faculty is a serious matter in church. He deviantly sneaked into Nnobi town in the Archdiocese and began an illegal ministry which is called Canaanland Adoration Ministries (E Dey Work) without the knowledge of the ecclesiastical authority.” Archbishop Okeke noted.
Archbishop Okeke warned the faithful of the Onitsha diocese to weary of the activities of the priest because what he is doing in his adoration ministries poses danger to their faith.
Rev Fr Ebere’s latest crime was alluding to the fact that Igbo will normally dominate whenever they are, obviously responding to a statement credited to a suspended priest of Lagos Archdiocese.
Archbishop Okeke declared emphatically that the position of the E Dey Work Adoration Ministries is neither the position of the church nor Igbo.
All efforts to get the reaction of Rev Fr Magnus Ebere did not yield any positive dividend.
