Former Senate President’s son emerges PDP chairman in Nnewi

Son of the first Republic Senate President, late Rt. Hon. Nwafor-Orizu has emerged the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nnewi North Local Goverment Area of Anambra state.

Prince Ifeamuma Nwafor-Orizu scored the highest votes to become the new chairman of PDP in the council area.

In his acceptance speech, Prince Nwafor-Orizu, who is the last son of the late Nwafor Orizu,, thanked the party faithful for the confidence reposed in him and other members of his executive.

He reassured them that the party under the new executive council will move PDP to a greater height and as well work assiduously to bring back all the members who have gone to other political parties back to the PDP fold.

The new youthful PDP chairman assured the numerous party loyalists that he would run a transparent and open door administration in which every member will be free to contribute their own quota in the management of the party.

Prince Nwafor-Orizu was full of praises for the leader of the PDP in the state, Chief Barr Olisa Metuh, for insisting on due process and for also creating enabling environment for the youths to come on board as members of the executive.

“Under our watch, PDP will become a moving train and it is expected that all hands will be on the deck as we make PDP to become our dream political party. It is not a one man show, it is a collective responsibility.” Prince Ifeamuma declared.

In his comment, a stakeholder of PDP, Comrade Tempest Udeze congratulated the newly elected executives for emerging victorious in the local government Congress, adding that the party faithful expect optimal performance from them.
