Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed the Head of Civil Service, Usman Bala, to oversee the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor with immediate effect.
According to a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, Mr. Unman Bala would be in-charge until arrangements are concluded to appoint a substantive Chief of Staff.
The Statement added that the Governor expressed the hope for effective supervision and coordination by the Head of Service, having served in the office before.
The AUTHORITY reports that the develooment followed the voluntary resignation of the former Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ali Makoda.
