Tinubu: I won’t quit politics until I become Nigeria’s president

National leader and leading presidential aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, has declared that he will remain in politics until he actualizes his lifetime ambition of becoming president of Nigeria


The presidential aspirant, who had earlier described being Nigeria’s president has his lifetime ambition, stated this in Makurdi, Benue State in continuation of his consultation and wooing of party stakeholders and delegates ahead of the [arty’s national convention to elect its presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, urged Benue people not to relent in their effort in making sure the party emerges victorious both at the state and national level.

He equally appealed to Benue people to support him to succeed, adding that he has the capacity to unite and promote peace and progress among all in the country.

“I won’t retire from politics until I am the president of Nigeria. I will bring the experience of my leadership in Lagos state as a Governor to bare on my leadership style in Nigeria.

The former Lagos State Governor who insisted that he is the best man for the job said if he emerges as the Presidential candidate of the APC, he will surely win the presidential election no matter whoever emerges as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP.

 “There’s no contest between me and whoever will emerge as the candidate of opposition PDP,” he stated.

The APC National Leader assured that if and when elected as president of the country, he would run a transparent and open government.

“I guarantee you that I will run a transparent, open government. Nigeria is rich. What we need is to redirect our resources and channel them in the right direction,” he said

Also speaking, former Governor of Borno State, and Senator representing Borno North Senatorial District, Karshim Shetima explained that Senator Tinubu needs to be supported by all Nigerians, adding that he is the only candidate among the numerous that can win the 2023 election for the APC.

On his part, Benue State APC governorship aspirant for the forthcoming elections, and former Deputy Governor in the state,  Chief Steven Lawani called for the unity of purpose among party stakeholders in Benue State, 

Earlier in his remarks, the State APC Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada assured Senator Tinubu of the party’s effort at the state level to reclaimed their mandate come 2023,as well as maintain the party’s victory at the national level.
