A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Amb. Yohana Margif has dumped the party, and will now be contesting under the Labour Party (LP), after purchasing the party’s expression of interest and nomination form
He is also to be the sole Governorship Candidate of the Party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
This development is coming barely three Days after Margif dumped the ruling APC, and pitched his tent with the Labour Party.
Margif, who accepted the nomination form at a brief reception hosted by the National Chairman of the Labour Party Barr. Julius Abure, called on the party to forge the trust on him as their new symbol of unity, growth on the Plateau
According to him, “a lot is still needed to be done in order to restore the lost glory of Plateau.
Adding that, “many citizens are still outside, hungry, unemployed and many more threatened by unwarranted and unnecessary security and economic challenges.

Comrade Adi Shirsha Adi, National Vice Chairman North Central Zone, the Plateau State chairperson of the Party, Grace Zamfara, expressed confidence on Chief Ambassador Yohana Margif, describing him as a “leader who understands the problem of Plateau and assured him of the Party’s support towards the realization of the aspiration.
According to the National Chairman, Plateau is in dear need of true and genuine leaders like Margif who will tackle insecurity for farmers to access their farms, and revamp the state economy to create employment for youths in the state.
