Benue: Gov. Ortom’s propaganda cannot stop Fr Akia’s victory in 2023, says APC chair, Agada

The State Chairman of All Progressives Congress in Benue State, Mr. Austin Agada has declared that the party’s governorship candidate, Fr. Hyacinth Alia will emerge victorious in the 2023 governorship election in Benue state, despite the propaganda by PDP and the state Governor, Samuel Ortom against him

Governor Samuel 0rtom for spreading the falsehood with desire to armed twist the  realities on ground.

Agada who spoke with newsmen at the weekend in Makurdi, alleged that the Governor has been spreading false allegations against the APC governorship candidate in the state, including telling the general public that  Fr. Alia is  no longer the candidate for the party in the forthcoming elections, following the re run we did as directed by the APC national leadership

“Let me reaffirmed our position again “we were  asked to embarked upon a rerun elections  whereas we  did  because  they were not certain  with  previous  outcome  yet the man still won.”

The APC chieftain further contended that “some of us are familiar with the propaganda mechanism associated with the Ortom led PDP administration, and we are not perturbed because it is his usual stuck in trade and common in running his government over the years.”

He observed with dismayed that all the ongoing manipulations at the instance of the state against the APC governorship flag bearer, adding “we  are however aware of  their antics, incidentally their permutation is nothing to go by, as voters have  already made up their decision against them, owing to abysmal performances in the past seven years.”

Comrade Agada further chided the Governor for his penchant in meddling in internal privacy of the APC, noting, the opposition in the state never delved into the PDP affairs when the party was engulfed in crisis over its choice of governorship candidate

“Forthright ago a so called consensus was held by he (Ortom) whereby all  the other guber aspirants were held under duress for  his anointed candidate, Hon.Titus Uba, the State Assembly Speaker, who eventually became the party’s guber flag bearer,  all these anomalies no outsider made a fuss,” he noted

According to him, “we have decided to remain neutral in relation to ongoing rumours mongering, because it is unsubstantiated claims, no iota of truth whatsoever, and we urge the party supporters to discountenance the insinuations.”
