FCT youth election: Aspirant pledges support for security agents

A head of the FCT youth Network election, one of the aspirants Solomon Danjuma has pledged to support security agents in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to always succeed in their bids to protect lives and property across the territory.

He said securing the city should not only be left in the hands of security agents but a collective efforts, which will strengthen the security architecture in communities that make up the territory.

Danjuma stated this on Tuesday, when he picked form to contest for the position of FCT youth leader, which is under the umbrella of Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment (AOIYE).

The aspirant promised to unify the youth in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to him, youth in the city deserve a better voice in the country, which propelled him to contest.

He said: ” Security should not be left in the hands of only security agencies but should be a collective efforts. I support vigilante in being part of what they do.

“When I emerge as the FCT leader I will assist security agents to succeed in their efforts to curb insecurity in the city.

“We must not forget that youth are the key players in causing socal vices, but when we engage them in useful ventures the issue of insecurity will be reduced.

“I want to unify the youth of FCT, I believe that in our unity we can project the youth in FCT.

“This can give youth in FCT a better voice in the country, they will be well represented at any sitting.

“FCT is still developing, there are a lot of agitations, the issue of marginalization that forced aggrieved persons to take over streets in the city to protest, If I emerge as the FCT youth leader there will be proper understanding of issues, especially how to address the challenges facing the youth in the Six Area Councils.

“There will be more Protection of lives and property when there is someone in -charge of the youth across all the communities that make up the Federal Capital Territory”

He also promised to create a common front that will project government programmes and policies for the good of all.

“The election I am going into, I see it as another opportunity to connect to youth all over the city and beyond. I have been in the leadership position at various levels for a long time.
