GPMI hails Bawa on anti-corruption fight

Global Peace Movement International, UK has hailed the chairman, Economic and Finance Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa for sustaining the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

President General of GPMI Dr Mike Uyi, stated this in Germany at a press conference at the ongoing’Talk to our people back home” in support of the Nigerian Army stressing that EFCC remains the most vital organ of government when it comes to financial security and that the all efforts must be made to sustain it.

Describing him as a new dawn in the anti-graft agency, Dr. Mike Uyi said GPMI is happy because the ‘Touch-Light of Unity’ presented to him recently in London is been used and are happy with the success recorded in his administration.

“The resent arrest of the Accountant General of the Federation has clearly shown that EFCC under Abdulrasheed fears no one no matter the position of such individual”.

“We believe that in days to come, EFCC will unravel more financial crimes against Nigeria, and with all that, with support from Nigerians to the EFCC, the country shall be free and repositioned among other nations free of corruption”.

“We also use this medium to announce that GPMI has passed a vote of confidence on Abdulrasheed Bawa for piloting the activities of the commission professionally without favouritism. He has also been nominated for International Peace Award which shall be presented to him in June”
