A Socio political pressure group known as ‘Save Enugu Group(SEG)’ has advised political gladiators in the state to trade with caution ahead of 2023 general elections, so as not to jeopardize the enabling peace currently reigning in the state,since the past Seven years.
The group made the clarion call yesterday in Enugu ,alleging that that there is a clandestine plan by a group of individuals to destabilize the state under the guise of political agitations.
SEG National Coordinator,Chief Willy Ezugwu extolled Governor Ugwuanyi for enthroning social peace in the state under which grass root development and good leadership is thriving in the state,pleading that the template should be sustained.
He stated The serene political atmosphere we now enjoy was no doubt a product of the efforts of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi administration to ensure peace in Enugu state by carrying the people along in the scheme of things for the sake of development of the state.”
“To this end,We wish to call the attention of the authorities and stakeholders to the clandestine moves led by a few individuals, to destabilize Enugu state under the guise of political agitation, which is the reason for brewing campaign of calumny and politics of bitterness already rearing it’s ugly head,as preparations for the 2023 general elections begin in earnest in Enugu state”
“The alarm has become necessary in view of the fact that even the opponent of the current administration can testify that in the last seven years,Enugu state has become less and less rancorous than what it used to be in the past”, Ezugwu stated.
