In what appears to be a forecast in Nigeria’s political future,ahead of the 2023 Presidential election,a veteran Journalist cum prolific writer,Mr Chuks Iloegbunam, has aired view the possibility of Mr Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the labour party and his vice,Alhaji Baba Ahmed, wining the 2023 Presidential election and stirring the economy of the country out of the woods.
Iloegbunam summed his prediction on hopes for a better Nigeria under Obi and Baba Ahmed in his latest book,with title,’ The Promise of a New era.. The 192 page book with eight chapters was formally presented to members of the public on Wednesday,September 21,at Enugu Sports Club hall.
The chairman of the event,Professor Chinedu Nebo,a former minister of power and former vice chancellor of University of Nigeria Nsukka[UNN], appraised the ingenuity of the author,Chief Chuks Iloegbunam exhibited in the book. Nebo said the contents of the book speak volumes about the desires of the Nigerian populace to have a government that will live up to expectations in solving or proffering solution to the various social maladies and economic constraints bedeviling Nigeria.

The book reviewer ,Prof.Joy Ezeilo, appraised the quality and contents of each of the eight chapters of the book.
The presenter,Senator Victor Umeh,poured encomiums on the writer,Chuks Iloegbunam, He commented the title of the book as timely and best for now. He recalled that the author,Mr Iloegbunam had once written a similar book with focus on Anambra state,captioned,’Are We Caused Or Are We the Cause?,stating the book was very thought provoking and inspired attitudinal change among the citizen as Peter Obi was eventually sworn in as next Civilian governor of Enugu state.
Senator Umeh Umeh described Peter Obi as an Apostle of change,who by the special grace of God if he becomes the next civilian president of Nigeria,will stir the nation out of it’s present economic predicaments.
Senator Umeh who testified he was lured into Labour party by Mr Peter Obi, expressed optimism that with Mr Peter Obi as president, Labour party will restore lost fortunes of the country.
His words,’Labour party will change Nigeria’s cause. It is God who planted Mr Peter Obi. He will change the cause of Nigeria, just the way he changed things in Anambra state. There are so many things in the book[The Promise of a New Era] about Peter Obi that can inspire the lifestyle of Nigerians’, Senator Victor Umeh said.
