Kano Environment  Commissioner Honours  Four Staff For Outstanding Performance In October

Four staff of Kano State  Ministry of  Environment have been honoured by the state Commissioner for Environment,  Dr.  Kabiru Ibrahim Getso, for their outstanding performance at their various departments in the month of October. 

Dr.  Getso has been honouring staff of the Ministry on monthly basis as a way of boosting their morale. 

According to a Statement by the Director, Public Enlightenment in the Ministry,  Ismail Garba Gwammaja,  “the honour is designed to recognize the best performing and hard working staff each month from all cadre for the merit award for others to emulate the shinning example.”

He said the Commissioner recognized the four staff in a brief ceremony during the monthly sanitation exercise meeting of the State Taskforce Committee held at the Conference Hall of the Ministry.

According to the Statement,  “Getso said four categories of staff were carefully selected based on their track record for this month of October 2022, which includes the best street sweeper   Mohammad Sani Gama, best tricycle riders Kabiru Idris, best Supervisor of the month Sani Adamu Sani and best PSP (Private Sector Partnership) named Bio clean Dr Bala Mohd Tukur for their outstanding performance in their assigned responsibilities for this month of October, 2022.”

The Statement further added that,  “the Commissioner who expressed delight, enjoined them to redouble their efforts to ensure clean and safe environment in Kano.

“He also presented a letter of commendation, textile materials and cash incentives to 3no staff while for the PSP company was presented to the letter of commendation only.

“Meanwhile he said the honour was a new innovation and strategy introduced by the ministry to ginger them up and face the challenge squarely with a view to have a better result. 

“He therefore,  reaffirmed the  Ministry’s commitment to continue to select best environmental staff who excel in their areas of duties and be honoured every month during the routine monthly meeting for stakeholders to witness.

“Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries Dr Bala Mohammad Tukur commended the sterling administrative leadership style of the Commissioner coupled with his passion and zeal to ensure environment free of waste in Kano, saying that this would go a long way to boosting the socio economic development of the State, and pledged to continue to do more in order to justify the confidence reposed on them.”
