2023: Zamfara PDP guber candidate vows to to pursue his campaign rights.

Despite threat and intimidation by government of Zamfara state against opposition parties, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state Alh. Dauda Lawan Dare has asserted that no power on earth can stop him from carrying out his political campaign provided he did not go against the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria and the INEC guidelines. 

Dauda made this known recently in Gusau capital of the state while answering questions by the members of the press who were at his residence for briefing on the activities of the party and their preparedness for the 2023 forthcoming general elections.

The candidate who frowned at some measures taken by the government of the state against it’s opponents particularly the main opposition PDP explained that such measures cannot deter him from exhibiting and exercising his political right.

According to him, politics is not all about shouting or intimidation it is only a matter of majority, ” and I think that it is why the government and it’s ruling party are scared of us, perhaps they have foreseen their detect at the polls,” he added.

He also disclosed that being an indigene of the state, he has right to do whatever one does, especially in an era like this one which everyone, whether a politician or not can exercise his or her political right so long as he did not go against the provision of the constitution and the INEC.

Commenting further Dauda stated that he and his supporters as well as their party have never call for any political gathering before the official date of 12th October by INEC, and therefore for anyone to threaten us by way of intimidation, he will not succeed, “like I earlier mentioned, I am again repeating it that no power and no body on this earth can stop me from going ward to ward for my gubernatorial campaign not even a governor, ” he revealed.

The PDP gubernatorial candidate maintained that their party is a peace loving one and they will continue to make sure that the peace is maintained throughout their campaign period. “We told our youths both male and female not to cause anybody because politics is not a do or die affair, it is just a game in which there must be a looser and a winner, and that is why we always call on our teeming supporters across the state to always be law-abiding people and play the game legally.
