Some group of Youths from ‘Greater Awgu’ axis of Enugu West senatorial district,comprising of Aninri.Awgu and Oji River local government areas of Enugu state. has voluntered to garner support for Dr Anayo Onwuegbu, the PDP candidate,to emerge as the next lawker of Aninri/Awgu/Oji River federal consistency,in the 2023 general elections.
Dr Anayo Onwuegbu, who is fondly known by his traditional title of ‘OMEIHEUKWU’ is the Chairman/Managing Director of ANBEEZ Services Ltd, an indigenous construction firm,whose
Corporate Social Responsibilities cut across Youth empowerment, Grass root sports developnent, self initiated rural projects and philantrophy to the church and the needy, has been adjudged as the candidate to beat in the election.
The Youth Group who operates under the aegis of ‘OMEIHEUKWU YOUTH ALLIANCE’ said their reason of throwing their weight behind Dr Onwuegbu. stems on his contribution to the socio economic and infrastructural development of Greater Awgu from his private sector initiatives, stating he will bring his experience to bear in consolidating development of Greater Awgu(Aninri,Awgu and Oji River council areas).
One of the Youth leaders. Mr Chimaroke Orji, who spoke to news men after paying courtesy visit to Dr Onwuegbu at the weekend, explained that they voluntered to act as an advocacy group to garner support for Dr Onwuegbu based on their conviction that he is the most capable among the candidates of the other parties in the contest.
‘His words,’ Our reason for coming together is for the ultimate good of our people. We are advocating for the election of Engr.Dr Anayo Onwuegbu to represent Aninri/Awgu/Oji River federal constituency in the green chambers because we have found him the best and most capable. His antecedents speaks volume and his experience will count.
