From Maduabuchi Nmeribeh, Kano
Fifteen females and four males are currently in the custody of Kano State Hisbah Board at its Sharada headquarters for witnessing the immoral wedding ceremony of two homosexuals identified as Abba and Mujahid.
The AUTHORITY gathered that the suspects who are all in their early twenties, were arrested by men deployed from the Hisbah headquarters who stormed an event centre where the unlawful wedding was taking place, following a tipoff.
Unfortunately, the “bride and groom” escaped arrest, while their accomplices, who gathered to witness the “wedding” were apprehended and taken into custody at the Sharada headquarters of Kano Hisbah.
The Hisbah authoeiries have launched ä manhaunt for Abba and Mujahid.
The Commander General of Kano state Hisbah Board, Sheikh Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina, who confirmed the arrest, described the occassion as unIslamic and immoral.
He explained that, the arrest was made after a tipoff by a good Samaritan.
He, however, regretted that the “bride and groom” (Abba and Mujahid) escaped arrest, but vowed that his men would fish them out from their hideout.
The Hisbah boss identified the organizer of the event as 21-year old Salma Usman.
Usman is already in the custody of Hisbah.
He said the Hisbah Board would hand over those in their custody to the police for necessary action.
According to him, most of the ladies claimed to have been invited for the wedding from a neighbouring state.
Sheikh Harun Muhammad reiterated Kano Hisbah’s commitment in eradicating all forms of social vices and immoral acts in the state.
