Too Late To Stop Senator Ekwunife

By Arthur Maduka

It is no more news that the people of Anambra Central Senatorial district have settled for Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom), they are only waiting for the elections to come for them to reaffirm their absolute commitment to the continuity agenda of the performing senator.

Unable to fault her achievements, and overwhelmed by the organic support she enjoys, her opponents have resorted to churning out propaganda, outright falsehood and personal attacks just to de-market her candidacy, albeit unsuccessfully.

The people who are the biggest beneficiary of her stewardship have been resolute in their resolve to resist orchestrators of these attacks using their PVCs.

For them, Anambra central would not go back to the years of constituency fund ending in the private pockets of selected few with zero benefit to the majority of constituents and the constituency.

They are satisfied with how Senator Ekwunife has been showing transparency and accountability by publishing her yearly scorecard for constituents to see what constituency funds were used for.

This and other achievements have earned her the name Madam Project as she has outpaced, wowed and made Anambra Central, her supporters and political pundits proud in terms of transparency and constituency fund utilization.

Little wonder, the propaganda and vicious personal attacks from detractors and opponents are falling face flat.

It is high time these desperate politicians stop wasting resources in trying to pull down the people’s Senator, as the people would choose their representatives when the time comes. Counterfeits must always be factored out and the right people chosen in order to avoid ultra-delayed development and for preservation of their progressive mandate.

It is indeed too late to stop Senator Uche Ekwunife from continuing the good work because the good people of Anambra Central have overwhelmingly settled for the Project Marshal (Iyom) and will entrust her with their mandate for another four years.
