The Borno State Christian Pilgrims who recently returned back to Maiduguri from Jerusalem after performing this year’s pilgrimage have paid a thank you visit to the Borno State Government for sponsoring over 100 of them to travel to Jerusalem for pilgrimage.
Receiving them on behalf of the Borno State Government, the deputy governor , Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur commended them for the way and manner they have conducted themselves while in the holy land as well as all the prayers they have offered for the return of peace to the state
The leader of the delegation who is also the special adviser to the governor on legal matters , Barr Simon Malgwi said this year’s pilgrimage to Jerusalem was devoid of any hitches , and therefore thanked the state governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and his deputy for all the support and assistance they have been rendering over the years towards sponsoring christians to Jerusalem for pilgrimage.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of gift to the deputy governor in appreciation of his support in ensuring the success of this year’s pilgrimage.
