Atiku wins own state, As PDP Sweeps  Adamawa state elective positions

The peoples democratic party (PDP) have had a clean sweep of the Saturday presidential and national assembly elections in Adamawa state.

The presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar won 20 of the 21 Local government areas while Labour party presidential candidate won in one LGA

The PDP candidate scored a total of 417,611 votes to beat his closest rival  Asiwaju Bola Ahmaed Tinubu with a wide margin to win Adamawa state.

The APC candidate, Bola Tinubu scored a total of 182,881 votes to place a distance second

While Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party who defeated Atiku in Numan local government area scored 105,648 to place third in poll.

Announcing the result, the collation officer for the presidential election, Prof. Lammu Mele said a total of 2,186,465 voters in Adamawa state while the accredited voters was 764,884.

Professor Melendez added that the vailed vote casted was 731,140 and the invailed votes was 30, 481.

The peoples democratic party (PDP) also won seven from the eight House of Representatives  election while APC picked the Furore/Song constituency.

In the Senatorial elections, the peoples democratic party won two of the three while APC retained the position.
