The House of Representative elect for Enugu East/Isi Uzo federal constituency,Prof.Paul Nnamchi,has rolled out a free computer training programme for students in Junior and Senior Secondary Schools to enable them become computer literacy.
The training which will last for one month is tied to the one month Easter vacation approved by the state ministry of education,so as to engage the Youths meaningfully instead of idling away their precious time on irrelevant matters.
The training sessions holds thrice in a week,on Monday,Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 12noon each day,at Madonna hall,St Theresa’s Catholic church,Abakpa Nike,Enugu.
Prof.Nnamchi will furthe dole out prizes to the best students at the end of the programme.
Efforts to reach Prof.Nnamchi to know why he came up with the initiative,as campaigns and elections have come and gone proved abortive. However,It was gathered that the gesture was born out of his desire to help humanity.
It was gathered that Prof.Nnamchi as a lecturer in the university,attracted educational facilities and equipments to Enugu State university of Science and Technology and UNEC from foreign donors.
During his campaigns,Prof.Nnamchi said that his mission in politics is to help to alleviate the problems of the grass roots most especially the rurals,who resides in the villages.
He won his election on the platform of Labour party.He will replace Hon Cornelius Nnaji who is the
current federal legislator of Enugu East/Isi Uzo federa constituency in the green chambers.
Hon Nnaji equally sought a re election on the platform of PDP but Prof.Nnamchi with labour party ticmet won overwhelmingly in the election.
