NNPP dismisses alleged Kwankwaso’s bid to return to APC

The New Nigeria Peoples Pary (NNPP), has dismissed as distractions, report linking its presidential candidate in the just concluded 2023 general elections, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from returning to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he left in 2021

National secretary of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Dipo Olayoku, has said that presidential candidate and leader of the party, Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso, has no plans to leave the party as being speculated by a section of the media.

 It was reported at the weekend that Kwakwanso has been having series of meetings with the president- elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, towards a possible return to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

 But a close ally to president Buhari, Alhaji Majid DanBilki Kwamanda, a founding member of the APC in Kano on  hearing the proposed move by Kwakwanso to rejoin the APC, has pleaded with Buhari not to allow it succeed if the party must still remain relevant in Kano State.

 Kwamanda said “we are ready to fight to finish, if Kwakwanso is given the nod to come back to APC, after his failed presidential bid”.

Dismissing the report, Olayoku said “that is a pit of lies from hell, Kwakwanso has not at any point thought of dumping the NNPP”.

Dipo further said NNPP is busy ahead of off season election and won’t want to be distracted.

 Kwamanda who revealed that Kwakwanso has had three schedule meetings with the president elect, added that no agreement has been reached between them over his possible return.

 “How do we explain this to our supporters, if he is allowed back to the APC, especially after we lost the state his party,?” the APC chieftain asked
