Independent Campaign Council (ICC) Lagos State, the Inter-Party Affairs Directorate that was created by Hon. Tayo Ayinde, who doubles as the DG of ICC Lagos State and the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor.Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, got a Laudable boast yesterday, when Samson took us down memory lane Sanwo-Olu first term hurdles etc.
Our reporter spoke with Samson Adewale a Former Gubernatorial Candidate in 2019 General Election, Samson and other Guber candidates formed a Coalition of 28 Governorship candidates called, Coalition of Progressive Lagos Gubernatorial Candidates (CPLG) and became the vice chairman of CPLG same platform he used to work for Sanwo-Olu first term in office, no doubt Samson ALAGBARA as was fondly called by his political associates also belong to so many groups and bodies all because of the love for good governance.
He is the P.R.O Forum of Political Party (FPP), Vice Chairman Conference Of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) before the De-registration, A former pioneer Organizing Secretary of Lagos State Inter-Party Advisory Council IPAC, A former National Sec. to Late OPC Founder Dr Frederick Fasehun on UPN, Unity Party of Nigeria, the National Co-ordinator (RAIN) Re-awaken Initiative of Nigeria a youth base organization and many more organization he belongs to, this are some of the few tracks of his love for good governance gave him the Directorship of the newly created Directorate of Inter Party Affairs ICC in the just concluded general election.
Samson Revealed and hailed the many achievements and re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State. He said the DG Hon.Tayo Ayinde is one of the Pillars behind the victory because he is the leader of ICC, he said Sanwo-Olus achievements is visible to the blind and the deaf not to talk of those that can see,
The Director, said his Directorate is solely to bring in and Mobilize Opposition Political Parties Both Registered And De-registered Parties who are non APC members and the Governorship Candidates of their various political parties to Support Tinubu/Shettima and Governor Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat during the February/ March General election,
Samson said ICC worked tirelessly days and Night, inside the rain under the sun, and still came out victorious, he said posterity will surely judge The BUFALLO Tayo Ayinde, and his wonderful TEAM, the Chairman ICC Cardinal (Dr) James Omolaja Odunmbaku Baba Eto , Deputy Director General Hon Kola Peregrino and the Vice Chairman Basorun Alabi Macfoy when this government will be written in gold, that he pleaded with them not to forget ICC Directorates When the time for celebration comes they should invite us from Inter-Party Affairs Directorate that housed Opposition Parties that supported them to join in the celebration because it is on record that the various bodies and Coalition mention above under Inter Party Affairs Directorate Step-Down Their Gubernatorial Ambitions and collapses all structures and also instructs all their followers to vote for Governor Sanwo-Olu to victory during the just concluded governorship election.
Samson said the work became easier after his Directorate mobilize all the 65 Deregistered political parties and few representatives of 10 registered parties to meet with the DG at Watercress Hotel during the build up to the election that the DG told them the governor will run an open door policy and carry everybody along, that is what gingered inter-party affairs directorate to constitute the 65 former political party chairmen into sub committees from various local government down to the wards where they reside and have members across the state. He said the inter-party affairs directorate was pleased over Governor Sanwo-Olu’s victory at the polls.
According to him, all the members of our directorate under Mr.Tayo Ayinde felt connected to the Governor because of his efforts at further developing Lagos State and his understanding of the people. Samson said: ‘‘we want Governor Sanwo-Olu to use his second term to complete the fourth Mainland Bridge and other projects which he has proposed.
We are excited about the BLUE RAIL ride the Lekki Deep Sea Ports and the Rice Mill Factory in Imota Ikorodu. These are few projects out of many more that will be unveiled in his second term.’’ As a matter of fact we were opportuned to ride the blue rail last 2weeks and the experience was wonderful as Nigerians leaving in Lagos state are waiting to get on it after we told them our lovely experience, you see why our campaign slogans to other Gubernatorial candidates of various opposition parties to support Sanwo-Olu for continuity! ‘‘Continuity is very important in governance and Lagos State has had it going for decades. When you have continuity in place, it ensures that crucial
projects are not abandoned because another political party has taken over government. What usually happens is that the new government will abandon the projects of the other party and start new ones. ’This are some of inter-party affairs campaign that made Peter Obis followers to abandon Gbedebo and chose sanwo-Olu
Samson said In Lagos State, God has been so good to us to have given President elect Bola Tinubu the wisdom to put continuity of leadership in place for us, so that Lagos has Governors that continue from where his predecessors stopped.
Director said after Former Governor Ambode tenure a lot of gang up came up not to allow APC to be in power again, but with God and the wisdom given to him and some of his think tank TEAM put together by himself, Engr Taiwo and Dr Smart Ofonyiri under CRPP as the Vice Chairman of that group, the love of Hon Tayo Ayinde who they see as a promise keeper, talk and do Director of Sanwo-Olu first term campaign before he became the Chief of Staff, met with CRPP EXCO for support of his Candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu and promised us that Sanwo-Olu will not abandon any project started by Ambode, because as an accountant in the dss he understands what tax payers money is all about, so he told us no project will be left un-torched. You can see that Governor Sanwo-Olu has followed this path of continuity.
He has completed the Agege overhead bridge which his predecessor Governor Akinwunmi Ambode started. Governor Sanwo-Olu has also continued the Lagos-Badagry Expressway which began under Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola. This is why opposition political parties under my directorate interparty affairs gave our full support to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and he has not disappointed us,’’ and he will not disappoint Lagos state as a whole.
