****Directs All Bank Managers To Comply With Immediate Effect

The newly swore- in governor of Ebonyi State, Hon.Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru has ordered for the freezing of all government accounts operating in various banks in the state, directing the bank managers to comply with the directive with immediate effect to ensure that no other financial transactions take place till further notice.
The directive was contained in a public service announcement made by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr.Monday Uzor, few hours after his inauguration as the 4th executive governor of Ebonyi state.
`His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has directed the immediate freezing of all State government accounts domiciled in various banks with effect from , Tuesday, 30th May 2023.
`Consequently the Governor directs the Bank managers of the all the banks that operate government accounts to immediately comply by ensuring that no payment is made from any government accounts till further notice
