A squatter, Nneamaka Nwosu, has burnt her benefactor who is a police woman and her two children to death at Nokwa in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The suspect, a divorcee, was said to have taken home by the deceased policewoman.
Sources narrated that the suspect, who has no child of her own, decided to terminate the life of her benefactor and her two children after a minor misunderstanding.
The suspect, after the misunderstanding, allegedly tied the policewoman and her children together with rope inside their room, set them ablaze while they were still alive.
Mrs. Nwosu, another source narrated, initially said that she was innocent of the crime until she broke down, confessed to the crime and eventually blamed the devil for her atrocious act.
The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO for Anambra State Command, Ikenga Tochukwu, (DSP) has confirmed the incident.
Tochukwu said that the suspect has been taken into custody for thorough investigation after which she would be charged to court.
He said that the remains of the policewoman and her children have been deposited in an undisclosed mortuary.
