10th Senate: Governor Nwifuru congratulates Umahi as Deputy Leader

Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has congratulated the immediate past governor of Ebonyi State,Engr.David Nweze Umahi on his emergence as the 10th  Senate Deputy Majority Leader, describing his emergence as a testament of the confidence his colleagues reposed in him.Governor Nwifuru stated that the  development, is a confirmation of his  track records of service and political acumen as well as positive contributions towards  the affairs of the Senate. 

He expressed confidence that Umahi will carryout the assignment with utmost sense of responsibility and desterity for the growth and development of the entire country.

“On behalf of the Government and good  People of Ebonyi State, I heartily congratulate the former Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Engr David Nweze Umahi CON, GGCEHF on his triumph as the Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th  Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Your Excellency, your emergence is a testament of the confidence your colleagues reposed in you . With this development, your track records of service and political acumen will no doubt contribute positively to the affair of the Senate. 

“Your election as a principal officer is  widely celebrated in Ebonyi and beyond because we are confident that you will carry out the assignment with the dexterity  you are known for over the years .

“Let me express my deepest gratitude to your Distinguished Colleagues for seeing the best in you . It was indeed a right choice”, he said. 

Governor Nwifuru assured him of total commitment and support for him to succeed in office and attract more democracy dividends to Ebonyi State.

“Your Excellency, as you set forth your legislative duties especially with this additional responsibilities, I wish to assure you of our fervent prayers and support at all times to succeed.”
