2023 Civil Service Week: HoSF Extols God for Success

By Stella Odueme

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, has expressed joy and appreciation to the Almighty God for what He has done, is doing and will continue to do for the entire civil service, especially, His servants, who have demonstrated great resilience and hard work in ensuring that Nigeria gets it right through efficient implementation of the Service Reform initiatives, embedded in the FCSSIP25.

She spoke at the 2023 Special Thanksgiving Service, held at the Exousia Church of God to mark the end of a successful 2023 Civil Service Week on Sunday in Abuja.

Yemi-Esan, who quoted Psalm 138 to summarise her gratitude, said that civil servants have gathered to return the glory to God and, on their behalf, she prayed God to continue the work He has started with the civil servants for a new Nigeria.
She admonished civil servants to dedicate themselves to God and allow Him transform them in their various careers.

The Pastor of the Church, Pastor Kunle Shoyele, while praying for and blessing the civil servants, pleaded with them to make use of their good offices to impart peoples’ lives.
He also cautioned them about carrying their personal problems to their places of work, terming it as counterproductive and inimical.

The 2023 Special Thanksgiving Service had in attendance permanent secretaries, directors, the OHCSF’s Choir and a cross section of federal civil servants from MDAs.
