The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike has called on contractors that have stopped work in the territory for lack of funds to return to site.

He made the call on Monday during a meeting with over fifteen contractors being owed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Wike said the Administration was ready to unveil an immediate plan to begin key projects across the territory.

He listed key projects like the Abuja metro rail line and road infrastructure in Garki 1, Wuse 1 and some parts of Maitama, as places of concern.

Wike regretted that lack of supervision had been a bane to achieving the desired infrastructure development.

He said the Administration under his watch was going to adopt ways that will help to stop owing of contractors that resulted to abandoning of projects.

The minister stated that both the short term and long term plans will be given adequate consideration, in order to ensure the nation’s capital get a new face-lift.

He told the contractors that the time has come to match words with action.
