Columbia Supporters Club organizes thanksgiving service for Heartland FC

In appreciation to God for making it possible for Heartland FC,  Owerri to gain promotion into Nigeria premiership and to recommit the club into the hands of God for the soon to commence 2023/2024 football season, the Columbia Supporters Club of Heartland FC, Owerri has advanced plans to thank Almighty God for His immense assistance to the Imo State Government owned football club.

popularly known as Naze millionaires. 

Comrade Ikenna Egbujor, the chairman, Board of Trustee (BOT) of the club disclosed this at Dan Anyiam International stadium, Owerri on Thursday while interacting with Sports Journalists on the activities of the club for the season which include the thanksgiving service scheduled this Sunday at  St. Francis Catholic Church Dan Anyiam stadium, Owerri.

Egbujor popularly known as Agwo who was pioneer Chairman of the club pointed out that the supporters club are committed in God’s grace and favour upon the team, necessitating their resolve to organize the thanksgiving church service.

Adding his voice, Mr George Emeyeonu, the Chairman Columbia Supporters Club of Heartland FC reiterated the essence of the thanksgiving service is to thank God for the trophies the club won last season and the promotion the club garnered from  Nigeria National League one to Nigeria Premier league.

Emeyeonu informed that they invited the players, technical crew and management of the football club as well as eminent sports administrators to the church service and the reception that would follow immediately after the thanksgiving as critical stakeholders of the football club.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for the tremendous assistance to team while given kudos to Hon. Emeka Okoronkwo, the State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development for his visionary leadership and compassion for the welfare of the team.

The Chairman further applauded Mr. Promise Nwachukwu, Heartland FC, general manager for his doggedness in the progress and growth of the club.
