Echono harps on enhanced service delivery as TETFund marks SERVICOM Week

The Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Arc. Sonny Echono, has called for the sustainance of enhanced service delivery in the intervention agency.

Echono, who made the call at a workshop to mark the 2023 TETFund SERVICOM Week on Wednesday in Abuja, said the continous effective service delivery in the Fund, contributed largely to its rating as one of the best performing agencies of government in Nigeria.

“Our goal as an organisation must be to increase
our productivity collectively in our march towards transforming Nigeria’s tertiary education system.

” It is also imperative that we reinvigorate the corporate culture of service at the Fund. The reputation and strength of the Fund hinges on our ability to incrementally improve our service culture,” Echono said.

Speaking further, the TETFund boss, who said this year’s SERVICOM Week, is the fourth edition to be celebrated by the Fund, posited that the workshop would further enhance staff productivity and overall improvement in service delivery to beneficiary institutions and other relevant stakeholders.

Echono further charged TETFund’s staff to leverage on various presentations at the event to improve on their performance.

Also speaking at the event, National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli, commended Echono, TETFund’s Head of Servicom Unit, Ebere Nwobu, among others, for ensuring successful celebration of this year’s Customers Service Week.

Represented by Ngozi Akinbode, Akajemeli said the SERVICOM Week is a platform to celebrate employees for their significant work and also raise awareness of the value of customer service.

“The Customer Service week is celebrated annually during the first full week in October.

“As a team satisfying our customers requires the commitment of all of us from the front desk to top Management. Therefore all hands must be on deck to ensure that quality service is provided for the benefit of all citizens at all times,” she said.

On her part, Head of TETFund’s SERVICOM Unit, Mrs Ebere Nwobu, commended Echono for his massive support in ensuring top notch service delivery in the agency.

” Thank you the Executive Secretary, our Chief Executive per excellence, no matter how busy our ES is, you will never see any file on his table,” she said.

While acknowledging the general improvement in staff attitude to work and work ethics in the organisation, Ebere on behalf, of the SERVICOM Unit, ‘appreciated’ 10 early comers to the event with a gift and assured that the gesture would be sustained in the Fund.

The event, which witnessed presentations from resource persons, also featured questions and answers session, among others.
