In the wake of the Supreme Court judgements that validated President Bola Tinubu’s victory, the National Chairman of the opposition Labour Party (LP), Barrister Julius Abure has terminated the appointments of some of his aides with immediate effect.
In a termination letter signed by the National Secretary, Malam Umar Farouk, the Chairman stressed that all appointments that were related to campaigns have been formally dissolved.
The effected appointees include: Mr. Mandela Ukegbu, Chairman, Labour Party Presidential Campaign Committee on Special Duties; Engineer Balami Isaac David’ Senior Special Assistant on Presidential Campaign, Fund Raising and Grassroot Mobilization; Didacus Joe-Adigwe, Senior Special Adviser on Strategy, Protocol and International Relations, Princess Ajibola, Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Mobilization; and Isaac Imasuagbon,
Senior Special Assistant on ICT.
The National Chairman wished them well in their future engagements.
A statement issued by Farouk said Abure also warned one of the affected appointees, Mr. Ukegbu who has continued to parade himself to the public claiming to be an aide to the National Chairman, to desist from doing so henceforth.
