Guber elections: Atiku mobilises for PDP candidates, directs support groups to ensure victory

Former Vice President of Nigeria and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has asked all his support groups body to mobilise for the success of the party in the governorship elections in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo states.

The three states of Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi state will go to poll this Saturday to elect new governors.

In a statement signed by the leader of Atiku Abubakar Support Groups, Hon. Oladimeji Fabiyi, Monday in Abuja, said the Waziri Adamawa emphasized the utmost need to win the states for the PDP.

According to Hon. Fabiyi, Atiku Abubakar expressed confidence that all the three PDP flag bearers possess the vision, requisite experience, capability to lead the PDP in the respective forthcoming elections.

The statement reads: “His Excellency Atiku Abubakar (Waziri Adamawa) GCON has directed that All Atiku Support Groups with formidable structures in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states should swing into action by mobilising thier members to support the Peoples Democratic Party in these respective states.

“Members should ensure that they pull all structures by voting for the party’s candidates, His Excellency, Sen. Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, Sen. Sam Anyanwu (Sam Daddy) of Imo State and Sen. Dino Daniel Melaye of Kogi State.

“His Excellency Atiku Abubakar also emphasized the utmost need to win these states for the PDP. He expressed confidence that all the three PDP flag bearers possess the vision, requisite experience, capability to lead the PDP in the respective forthcoming elections.

“There is no doubt that our partry has put forward very formidable candidates with strong character, experience and capacity to lead the state.

“The performing Governor of Bayelsa State, Governor Duoye Diri is a shining example for the PDP. Therefore, all Atiku supporters including the admirers, followers and members of our great party must come out en masse to vote for all the PDP candidates and protect their votes,” Atiku said.
