Gov Soludo gets commendation over youth empowerment

The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has been commended for the successful execution of the ‘One Youth, Two Skills’ programme and other related development interventions.

This was made known in a statement by the National Coalition on Improved Service Delivery (NACOISED), a citizen stakeholder group, with the mission to entrench improved services and integrity in the governance process.

According to the leader of the group, Prince Chris Azor, who doubles as the Chairman, Anambra Civil Society Network (ACSONET), the gesture was unprecedented and commendable coming at a period of excruciating existential challenges to the masses especially, our teeming youth population.

Comrade Azor stated this shortly after his group observed the disbursement of Cheques to Youth beneficiaries across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.

Beneficiaries received between Five hundred and four hundred thousand Naira each depending on the skills they acquired during the exercise. They were also supported with ten thousand Naira each in Lieu of transportation, with certificate of completion.

The Development Expert and Human Rights advocate however, expressed dissatisfaction with the rather inadequate publicity given to the uncommon largesse.

He therefore, enjoined the the Governor’s Aides and all patriotic Ndi Anambra to escalate the uncommon good governance and Social Protection initiatives of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for desired recognition and emulation, globally.

The group further reminded the government of the need to put in place a monitoring and Evaluation mechanism to follow progress of the beneficiaries in their chosen vocations, for desired.
