NIS graduates 600 new recruits, cadets in FCT

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) FCT command has graduated 600 newly recruited personnel of the Service after successful completion of their induction course.

The recruits which began their 3months induction training in September 2023, were trained in different aspects of immigration procedures, operations, facilities and laws.

Tony Akuneme, the comptroller FCT command, said the essence of the induction course was to prepare the recruits for their basic training.

The Comptroller applauded the recruits for their gallantry, resilience, doggedness and willingness to learn throughout the very rigorous induction training.

He admonished the recruits to continue to work very hard to serve their country with all their hearts, he welcomed the recruits into the service and promised to always support them in whatever way possible.

The recruits displayed beautiful parade and control skills including the silence drill platoon dazzling the crowd.

Awards were presented to 10 Outstanding Recruits, The Best facilitator and the Chief Instructor.

Personalities that attended the Passing Out Parade, notably amongst them include, the immediate Past Permanent Secretary Retired, Federal Ministry of Interior, Dame Georgina Ehuriah-Arisa, the Assistant Comptroller General, Federal Fire Service, ACG Achi – Okidi Ijeoma, Comptroller of Corrections, FCT, Commandant of Civil Defense Corps, the Ona of Abaji, Dr. Adamu Baba Yunusa and the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor, Elder Aloysius Nnawugo who represented the Governor of Imo State and many more.
