The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle has called for prayers for members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, saying they are making sacrifices for the country.
The minister stated this in his Christmas message signed by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Defence, Henshaw Ogubike.
He said Christmas is a time for reflection, gratitude and unity.
“It reminds us of the values of love, peace and goodwill towards all. In the midst of our diverse challenges, let us remember the essence of this season and strive to foster unity, understanding and harmony in our communities and nation.
He said the country with love and unity shall defeat the common enemies of terrorism and other criminalities.
The minister acknowledged the sacrifices made by men and women of the Armed Forces.
“Their dedication , resilience and commitment to duty serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration to us all. This Christmas, let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers while acknowledging their sacrifices and unwavering resolve to protect our beloved Nigeria,” he added.
