Lagos Police boss Fayoade tasks DPOs, others on respect, humility

Officers and men at the Lagos State Police Command, especially the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) have been charged to treat members of the public with respect and humility.

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Adegoke Fayoade, who gave the charge, said he is determined not to tolerate wrong doings on the part of officers and men of the command.Speaking in an interactive session with members of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), CP posited that is determined to correct the negative impression of Police not friend of the people.

Fayoade said he is prepared to ensure a situation where Nigerians see the Police Stations as theirs and go to lodge complain without being subjected to any rigour or conditions.
While assuring of a transparent and open door policy, the Police Commissioner called for constructive criticism, saying it would help to improve the system.

Speaking further, Fayoade assured residents that one of his major agenda is to fight cultism, traffic robbery and kidnapping among other prominent cases in the state.

President of Crime Reporters Association (CRAN), Mr Lekan Olabulo, welcomed the CP noting that the Association has had good relationship with the Command.
