Otabor suggests ways to improve healthcare, education of vulnerable persons

By Hassan Zaggi

The Medical Director of Alliance Hospital, Dr Christopher Otabor, has suggested ways the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government can improve access to education and affordable healthcare services by vulnerable persons in the country.

He gave the suggestions when led members of his management team to pay a  courtesy visit to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Delu Yakubu, in Abuja.

The Alliance Hospital is currently partnering with the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to drastically reduce the number of out-of-school children and ensure easy access to quality healthcare services by rural dwellers in all parts of the country.

According to Dr. Otabor, his team has concluded plans to begin medical outreaches in the communities around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He explained that, in collaboration with the Presidency, his team will identify and adopt children of the poor and give them scholarship.

The government, he noted,  cannot do everything and therefore appealed to the Presidency to continue to collaborate with the private sector in order to resolve most of the challenges bedeviling the vulnerable and children of the less privilege in the country.

Dr Otabor, therefore, called on Nigerians to be patient  with the renewed hope agenda of the President Tinubu-led government, expressing optimism that the current government will take the country to the next level of development.

Responding,  the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Delu Yakubu, commended the efforts of the Managing Director of Alliance Hospital, especially his readiness to assist the federal government to reduce the burden of out-of-school children and pay the medical bill of those that cannot pay

While making reference to the Holy Book, she said “we are in this world to serve God and humanity.”

Hon. Yakubu noted that Nigeria has so many private hospitals but Alliance Hospital was pick to render humanitarian services to the vulnerable persons in the country.

She disclosed that the first quarter report of her office to President Tinubu has the humanitarian services of Alliance Hospital mentioned in it.

She commended Dr Otabor  for putting smiles on the faces of vulnerable Nigerians through his humanitarian services across the country.

Earlier, she presented award of excellence to Dr Christopher Otabor.
