Nigeria’s economy ‘ll be robust if govt hands off business –Entrepreneur

As search to save Nigeria’s economy from total collapse intensifies, a young business entrepreneur, Mr Chidiebere Ike has proferred what he termed a panacea to the debilitating economy.

Speaking at a conference themed, “Building Materials: An integral tool for rapid national development”, in Owerri, the managing director/ CEO of Chidi Master Building, tasked governments at all levels to surrender business to the business community noting that businesses driven by business men and women usually succeed in spite of bottlenecks.

He further urged both federal and state governments to provide the enabling environment for business to thrive.

He noted that a burgeoning business environment will give rise to a happy, peaceful and patriotic citizens which will translate into a prosperous and secure nation.

He further stated that once government can demonstrate capacity in providing the basic necessities of life like electricity, water, good road network that can guarantee transportation of goods and services, adequate transport system and security, the beauty and creativity of Nigerians will manifest exceedingly.

Miffed by the influence of the Dollar over the Naira, the Imo state born business man submitted that the economy cannot be controlled by force with price control mechanism insisting that Nigerian business men and women can run the economy well given a guaranteed business environment.

“Nigeria has all it takes to be the best in the world. How can a country that has over 200 million population go broke. Nigerian currency is number one problem that needs to be attended to because creating value to Nigeria currency will solve 90% of Nigeria problem, if we are thinking of solving Nigeria problem, we should think of creating value to Nigerian currency because Nigeria is the nation we know that loves money so much therefore let’s apply the knowledge of creating value to Nigeria currency for a better Nigeria”, he submitted.
