Simon Ekpa reacts as Rubin of AEI calls on US to support Biafra Liberation

The prime Minister of the Biafra Republic  Government In-Exile has backed calls by a senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and investor, Michael Rubin on the incoming administration of the United States to consider the self-actualization of Biafra.

Ekpa disclosed this in a statement on his official X account on Thursday while reacting to Rubin’s call.

An article, titled ‘The Next Administration Must Keep an Eye on Nigeria’ published on Tuesday in an American Journal highlighted the need for whoever emerged as US state president in the forthcoming presidential election to back the call for Biafra Liberation.

In his words, Rubin said owing to Biafran’s continued agitation for liberation, “Biafrans, it seems, want self-determination. Even if they do not declare independence, however, the Nigerian government’s unwillingness to address ethnic persecution and anti-Christian discrimination cannot continue.

Reacting, Ekpa lauded Rubin for highlighting the plight of Biafrans and the agitation for Biafra self-rule.

He assured that the declaration of Biafra Independence on December 2, 2024.

“Thank you Michael Rubin for highlighting the plight of the Biafran people, as well as the BRGIE self-referendum. It is a great honor for us to be discussed by someone of your prestige and eminence”, he said.

Recall that BRGIE announced in July 2024 that over 50 million Biafrans voted for the Biafra referendum.
